Client

The Client is one of the key public trades textile manufacturing companies in India. The company used Lotus Notes as its content and collaboration platform. As per their business needs, they needed to migrate their applications and data from Lotus to SharePoint.

The Need

The Client needed all their notes application and data to be migrated to Microsoft SharePoint without having any data loss and with no disruption to their operators/users. After evaluation of the application and Data, Quest Notes Migrator for SharePoint was selected to migrate and quickly rebuild complex notes application in SharePoint.

The major portion of the project was to migrate Lotus Team Room, Discussion Board, and document libraries.

What we proposed

Using Quest Notes Migrator, the organization’s data was accurately analyzed during the discovery phase.

The applications were classified as simple [based on Standard Notes template] and complex applications. Automated migration was used to migrate simple /standard notes application. Advanced Migration was used to migrate complex application.

The point and click migration feature of the Quest notes migratory was used to migrate the notes documents to SharePoint. Automated mapping was utilized for Standard Notes Application like Discussion Board, Document libraries.
