not yet been clearly defined. It Is also used
by companies with complex projects prone to specification
and design changes during the project. |

as an hourly rate based on the technical environment
and approach, type, level and the number of technical resources required.
All out-of-pocket expenses for software licenses and other direct project
expenditures are reimbursable expenses. |

| Milestone-Based Billing
Model |

| This model is favorable
for customers concerned about work effort progress
in off-site projects. |
|
| Milestones-based payment
schedules reinforce progress monitoring and substantiate
payment based on acceptance of specific deliverables.
This model is used in conjunction with the
Time & Material
and Fixed Price Models. |

| Dedicated Development Facility Model |
|
| This model is an
extension of the customer's In-house software
development activities. The dedicated facility
provides a cost effective solution to customers’ requiring
continuous offshore development and support
activities. This model establishes an off-site
development and support activity tailored to the
specific business
and technical needs of a customer. Payment is
a monthly retainer fee calculated on an agreed
level and size of
staffing and service. |

| All time and effort expended
in excess of the monthly agreement is billed
at an agreed hourly rate. All out-of-pocket expenses
for software licenses and other direct project
expenditures are reimbursable expenses. |

| Build-Operate-Transfer
(BOT) Model |
|
| This model is favorable
for independent software vendors and companies
who are interested in the benefits of
an offshore subsidiary but concerned about
the inherent risks. In this model, organizations
are able to rapidly commence offshore operations
and obtain ownership of an entire offshore facility with minimal
investment. The model includes the following components in
establishing, operating and transferring the
facility from Star-Knowledge to the customer at an agreed future
date. |

a dedicated offshore software development
and support facility.
The facility is staffed with either Starsoft-India professionals,
with customer's employees or by resources
engaged specifically for the project or a mix
of the resource sources. |

Operate the facility to customer’s

Transfer ownership
of the facility and resources to the
customer at an agreed future date. |

| On-Demand Model |
|
| This model is favorable
to companies with a desire to establish a dedicated
technical team for future requirements with flexibility to ramp up/down
as required. The model provides for the setting-up
of the appropriate infrastructure and core team and
training of the required technical resources.
Since, the core team is familiar with company’s business and
processes the ramp-up for an individual project
to meet an unexpected work surge is quick and competent. |

in conjunction with the Dedicated Development
Facility, Time & Material and Fixed Price Models. |

| Fixed Price Model |
|
| This model is favorable
for projects that are specifically defined in
terms of their requirements, schedules and
project path. With this model, we work with customers
to define their expected deliverable outcomes
to determine a mutually agreed fixed price. |

| Project fees are calculated
on type of the technical environment, level
and number of technical resources
required. All out-of-pocket expenses for software licenses
and other direct project expenditures are reimbursable
expenses. |
